Balıkesir University's ‘BAÜN TTO II. Innovative Ideas Project Market’ Wins TÜBİTAK Support
The ‘BAÜN TTO II. Innovative Ideas Project Market’, to be held under the coordination of Balıkesir University Technology Transfer Office (BAÜN TTO), has been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK 1503 Project Markets Support Programme.
This significant development will give new momentum to Balıkesir University's efforts to develop innovative ideas, strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and increase university-industry collaboration.
The event, to be held on 18–19 December 2025, will bring together academics, industrialists, entrepreneurs, and students from different disciplines on the same platform.
The event will feature innovative projects developed in thematic areas such as Smart Transportation, Smart Production Systems, Energy and Clean Technologies, Health and Well-being, Sustainable Agriculture and Nutrition.
In this context, the aim is to increase interdisciplinary interaction, spread a culture of joint project development, and commercialise technology-based ideas. The event, which aims to contribute to Balıkesir's multi-sectoral economic structure, will offer important collaboration opportunities for industrial organisations, entrepreneurs and researchers in the region.
Participants will have the opportunity to establish new partnerships by sharing their project ideas with investors and institutional representatives.
The event will be organised in collaboration with the Balıkesir Branch of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD), the Balıkesir Industrialists and Businessmen Association (BASİAD), the Balıkesir Organised Industrial Zone (BALOSB), Balıkesir Chamber of Commerce, Balıkesir University Technology Development Zone Management Inc., and Balıkesir Businesswomen's Association (BAİKAD).
Furthermore, prominent industrial representatives in the region are also supporting the event. In this context, Yarış Tasarım San. Tic. A.Ş., Savaşlar Soğutma, Has Tavuk, İşbir Sentetik Dokuma San. A.Ş., Tınaz Tarım ve Sanayi Makineleri Tic. ve San. A.Ş., FerÇelik, Sarıbekir Ambalaj Sanayi ve Tic. A.Ş., and MRS Havacılık Uzay Sanayi.
This broad stakeholder structure will enable the event to go beyond being merely a project market and create new synergies focused on regional development, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
