Participation in the 2nd Balıkesir Agriculture and Livestock Fair from BAÜN

Hosted by Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality, the second Balıkesir Agriculture and Livestock Fair, held between 2-5 October 2025, opened with a grand ceremony. The opening ceremony was attended by İzmir MP Haydar Altıntaş, Balıkesir Governor İsmail Ustaoğlu, Commander of the Balıkesir Garrison and 9th Main Jet Base, Air Force Pilot Balıkesir Chief Public Prosecutor Abdülkadir Akın, Balıkesir Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Akın, Balıkesir University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Satıl, Karesi District Governor Metin Arslanbaş, Balıkesir Provincial Police Chief Şükrü Yaman, provincial protocol, industry representatives and citizens.

Balıkesir University also had a strong presence at the fair. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Animal Husbandry Research and Application Centre, and the Technology Transfer Office introduced the university's research, innovation, and application projects in the fields of agriculture and animal husbandry at their stands. Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Satıl closely engaged with visitors and provided information about the university's work.

Protocol members and fair participants who visited the university stands had the opportunity to examine BAÜN's scientific research, innovative solutions, and university-industry cooperation projects in the fields of agriculture and animal husbandry. Academics shared detailed information, particularly about scientific studies conducted to increase productivity in animal husbandry. Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatmagül Tolun, Lecturer Dr. Mesut Eryiğit and Mustafa Zeybek from the Technology Transfer Office team, along with TUSMEC Karma Robot Technologies Inc. General Manager Maksut İnce, provided information to visitors at the stand throughout the fair about the university's work on agriculture, livestock and industry collaborations. With the work it showcased at this important fair, Balıkesir University continues to contribute to regional development by bringing together scientific knowledge, innovative technology and the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the agriculture and livestock sectors.
