100% Domestic Simulation and Platform Systems Developed through University-Industry Collaboration
The cooperation protocol signed between Balıkesir University Technology Transfer Office Inc. and MRS Aviation Space Industry Simulation Machinery Inc., located in Balıkesir-Edremit, is set to bear fruit. By joining forces to develop locally produced simulation systems, the institutions are counting down the days to the launch of simulation and platform systems that can be used in various fields, primarily the defence industry and aviation. To review the preparations made prior to the launch planned for October, Balıkesir University Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, accompanied by Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Cevdet Avcıkurt, Prof. Dr. Fatih Satıl, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Dr. Selvihan Kılıç Ateş, and Secretary General Yemliha Yanar, to inspect the special launch hall created within the Faculty of Fine Arts. MRS Aviation Space Industry Simulation Machine Inc. Board Chairman Özgür Sarı, as well as Dr. Aytekin Ulutaş, an academic at Edremit Civil Aviation College and also a partner in the company, and company partner Mehmet Kadan. Rector Oğurlu expressed his delight at being a partner in an exemplary university-industry collaboration. Company officials also stated that the technologies presented are pioneering and rare products not only in Turkey but also in Europe and worldwide, and thanked Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu and his team for hosting the event.
